Taking Action Steps to Believe in YOU

Have you ever thought about how much believing in yourself and feeling confident makes positive things happen in your life? A strong belief in yourself can bring you all these benefits and more:

  • Deep down inside, you know you can do anything because you do not stop until you achieve what you desire.
  • More people are attracted to you and seem to enjoy your presence when you are in that confident state.
  • You treat yourself kindly.
  • You feel uplifted and more satisfied with life.
  • You recognize your ability to accomplish goals.
  • Your motivation to get things done comes from your heart so it is in alignment with your values.
  • You have faith, no matter the ups and downs that occur.
  • You’re optimistic about the future because you set goals and achieve them.

You see and enjoy positive evidences that you’re not alone, Spirit is with you, and abundance easily flows to you.

Wouldn’t it be great to feel these aspects of confidence on a daily basis? The good news is YOU CAN! There are actions you can take to reinforce your belief in yourself.

You are worthy of self-love and self-confidence. Here are some tips to help develop a stronger sense of belief in you:

      1. Have confidence in your own abilities to get something done. Be your own best cheerleader and encourage yourself to get your tasks completed. Learn to break large tasks down into realistic achievable portions. Then, even when times are tough and your spirit is low, you’ll know you can do it. Remember: Action conquers fear.
      2. Keep Your Focus on Your Dream. Whether it’s obtaining the career you want, getting your business more on track, finding the right coach, taking a dream vacation, or setting even a small goal, will get you a step closer to bringing your vision into reality.
      3. Release any emotions in your way of being self-confident and believing in yourself. Notice if you have some lower level feelings or issues arise as you focus on taking steps to creating your dreams.
      • Sometimes what gets in a person’s way are the unexpressed, repressed or unconscious issues they may not know about. If you have feelings of sadness, hurt, anger, undeserving or not good enough rising up in you, then it is critical to do the work to release these unwanted emotions.
      • These emotions and unresolved past events are in your way of taking the inspired action steps to believing you will be successful in bringing your dreams into actuality. You Can Release these Emotions. https://hzharris.com/InnerChakraSecrets/Replay
      1. Establish goals and go for the gold. Believing in yourself means you’re motivated to get things done. Get into the habit of setting goals (both short-term and long-term.) Then, take active steps to achieve them – Even if it a small step, it helps you on your path.
      2. Be good to yourself. Treating yourself with kindness and the understanding that you’re a deserving human being is an important aspect of developing belief in yourself.
      • Pamper yourself. You deserve it just for being you. Recognize it is important that you treat yourself with respect and love in order for other people to treat you that way.
      1. Find ways to keep motivation high. Remember the childhood story about the little engine that could? When you want to accomplish and take pride in achieving your goals, it’s an incredible testament to your level of motivation. The more you do, the more you will want to do.
      2. During the tough times, keep the faith. No one is immune from experiencing rocky times in their life. But know that you can meet those challenging phases with a positive, solid attitude and having tools for releasing unpleasant feelings and memories of events preventing your success. Keep forging ahead, moving through the trying moments and know you’ll come out on the other side smarter, stronger and surer of yourself.
      3. Practice gratitude. Regardless of what stage of life you’re living, search for the good all around you. Get the most you can from each moment.
      4. Gratitude carries a high vibrational frequency and will raise your energy to a higher level. Being in the place of a higher vibrational energy is what creates the power to accomplish your dreams.
      • Focus on what feels really good to you right now. Is the chair you’re sitting on comfortable?
      • Or are you safe and warm right in this moment?
      • Be grateful for everything in your life that feels good to you moment by moment.
      • Whatever you love in your life, be thankful it is there. Give thanks often.
      • Write down what you are grateful for daily in a Gratitude Journal.
      • Raise Your Energy Vibration! Bring Your Dreams Into Reality!

Believing in yourself is one of the most powerful choices you can make. Practice these tips and you’ll discover the sheer joy and comfort of knowing you can create your dreams and bring them into your life when you believe in yourself.

Year-End Summary Manifestation Process

A few years back Candice came to me really wanting to change her life, including her love life and career. She wanted to increase the passion and aliveness in her 12-year marriage. It was feeling kind of like an old shoe and she felt taken for granted. She also wanted to change her career as a bookkeeper and begin her healing and acupuncture practice. She just could not figure out what to do first in either of these areas.

Even though these may seem like opposite areas to go after, there are some basic foundational principles that work perfectly for both these areas, which I get into in my programs.

Since we were coming to the close of the year, I suggested Candice join my Winter Solstice Ritual and I took her through a very powerful energy process that I call the “Year-End Summary Manifestation Process”. This would allow her to take stock of what she really did in the previous year.

By looking at where she started, what she accomplished and what she wanted to transform, Candice was really ready for our Winter Solstice Ritual. We did some deeper work at the ritual. Then she felt she actually could manifest her desired vision.

happy

By the end of the following year, Candice was so excited by all she achieved. “I’m so grateful for all I actually accomplished this year. I really didn’t believe I could make the changes. With your help, my marriage has changed. I’m feeling cherished like I never did before!

Plus, my practice is growing. I first went to part-time as you know and now I gave notice that I’m leaving my bookkeeping job to do my business full time! It feels like a miracle to me! Your support helped me so much!”   Candice M.

Here is the full process I have clients prepare for prior to the ritual.

Year-End Summary Manifestation Process

The New Year is right around the corner! Are you ready to predict what a fabulous NEXT year will be like for you?

One of the important things to do before planning for next year is taking stock of what you did accomplish THIS year.

Some of you might be thinking that this year just wasn’t your year. Then it’s time to focus on how to CREATE AN AMAZING 2016 for YOU!

It is not possible to know where you’re going if you haven’t figured out where you are right now. Your life is like a journey and each year is part of that voyage. To arrive at your destination, you need to know where you are starting on this part of your path.

Just to let you know for those who haven’t done ritual work before, a Ritual combines intention, with Spirit (or whatever word fits for you), the right healing tools, your willingness plus group energy. That is how you shift whatever is in the way of your desired success.

reach

I created this “Year-End Summary Manifestation Process” for you to begin the process of focusing on what you want to create for this New Year.

Think about how you were feeling last December. Create 3 separate lists. You might choose to focus on these main areas of your life (or others you select) as you write your lists:

  • Family, Relationships and Friends
  • Financial
  • Career and Business Vision
  • Health, Energy and Wellness
  • Emotional and Mental Well Being
  • Recreation and Creativity
  • Spirituality

Make a list in each of the following sections. These are important. Take all or some of the above areas and write about them in each of the following sections.

  • Recognize Where You Were at the Beginning of This Year
  • Celebrate Your Accomplishments for This Year
  • Focus on the Changes You Desire to Make to Improve NEXT Year

To make this Year-End Process easier for you next year, I suggest two more things to do.

  • Create your Gratitude and Positive Evidence (GPE) Journal. On a daily basis, you can write about good things that happen to you. I suggest at least 3-5 or more. Some people find it works better for them to write in their journal in the evening. Others prefer to do this in the morning. Do what works best for you.
  • Create a “Celebrate Me” file. This is where you take some of those special comments people make about you and put it on colorful paper or make a collage out of it. For your “Celebrate Me” file, you can make it into a scrapbook, glowing comments from friends or a special card from a client who loved your work. Get creative with it!

What you focus on and appreciate increases. So take the time to honor yourself to ensure numerous positive events occurring for you increase in 2016!!

If you are truly interested in transforming your results for 2016, attend our Winter Solstice Ritual Celebration of Awakening the new energy in you and the planet. Envision to Giveaway the Old and Create the NEW.

It’s the Holidays – But Sh*t Still Happens

Here we are getting ready for the year-end holidays. Thanksgiving is around the corner and Christmas isn’t far behind.

There are so many mixed emotions at this time; so much anticipation. We hope for the positive and pray the negative won’t hit us.

Family dynamics – Will I get it all done? Do I have enough money for gifts? Will everyone get along? It’s so busy already. How am I going to get everything done? How will my family react to my new girlfriend or boyfriend?

Then we’re hit with a real life tragedy – Beirut and Paris, France. I was in Paris maybe 35 years ago. What fun, what beauty and what excitement I experienced on my first trip to Paris. I had the good fortune to assist in workshops in Neims and Paris. I loved the people, the place. I haven’t been to Beirut, but I’m still touched by what they also experienced.

babycryIt feels like another 911 in my heart. It’s hard to reconcile. My heart cries out for what those people are going through. We know it all too well. Our own catastrophe hit us many years ago.

So how do we come to terms with creating amazing holidays and still deal with the reality of what just happened?

Prior to the past couple of events, I was going to put out another list of Holiday Tips. But somehow it doesn’t feel quite so relevant at the moment. Every time I watch the news, I am hit by the event, the images, the people, the suffering. I have all these mixed emotions jumbled together in my body. It really doesn’t feel so good.

I have a hunch many of you are going through a mixture of feelings as well. It just shows that life is a bit of a rollercoaster; even when it is supposed to be the happiest time of the year.

Here are some tips to help cope with the ups and downs during the holiday season:

  • Focus on what is important. If your family or friends are most important to you, then focus on them. Let go of being the perfectionist or trying to please Aunt Tilly. Take some time to meditate on what you most want to feel and experience during the holidays. For me, it’s love and connection with my family and friends. Focus on the love, the warmth, peace and JOY you want to feel. Once you’re clear on what is significant for you, the other priorities can more easily fall into place.
  • Take really good care of you by loving you. The stress of the holidays can take its toll– traveling, cooking, cleaning, buying the right gifts, bringing the right food to events, getting the cards done (I’ve given that one up.) Allow yourself the privilege of doing things good enough, not perfect — just good enough for now. If you have that connection with your people, they won’t care so much about the details and perfection. Get plenty of rest, eat healthy for your body most of the time, eat the right amount for you (you already know how terrible it feels when you overeat.)
  • Balance you. Make sure to leave time for those special activities that keep you feeling balanced.

Do something for your body like yoga, exercise, dancing or running. Do a physical activity daily even if it’s only 5 minutes walking around the block or jogging in place. It gets the endorphins going, which will keep you in a better mood the rest of the day.

Include something for your mind and emotions such as releasing those negative and lower level thoughts, beliefs and events that will have you overreacting from past events instead of being in the present, in the NOW. There are numerous techniques for transforming emotions and beliefs: hypnosis, EFT, visualizations to name a few.

Remember to do something for your spirit. Take the time to go inside and realize what the holidays actually mean for you. What do you want to bring forth this holiday? How do you want to affect those around you? Energy is contagious and affects those around you. Decide what energy and feeling you want to bring to the events you attend at this time. Meditate, mindfulness meditation, pray, chant, yoga, spirit dance, do a ritual, blessings – Do whatever it is that takes you to a loving, deep place inside you. Then from that loving depth of beauty that is truly you, share that feeling wherever you go.

  • To turn around negative anticipation for the holidays, tragedies and anything in life, deal with your own Shadow, your own dark side. So what do I mean by the Shadow? The holiday shadow would be any negative feelings coming up for you such as anger, irritation, resentment, dislike or even hatred regarding anyone you may see or think about at a holiday event. That negative energy will affect that person or persons so they react to your energy even if you do not express it verbally.

For example, if you, your sister, or anyone have had a big disagreement and it is still not over between you, it is up to you to get to what wound underneath got triggered, what part of you is still holding on to that emotion, release the emotion and decide what emotion you would rather feel. Once you release the negative emotion, fill yourself up with the positive emotions you choose to experience.

That may sound strange to some of you, but I can assure you it works. It may not work in a day or two, but over time it will.

There are times before family events, I will meditate and do a healing on me for at least a half an hour in order to transform my emotion. It is up to you to choose how you want to feel during this time.

  • Send prayers and blessings to those going through difficulties, suffering or tragedies of any kind. Your prayers and blessings make a difference. It has been scientifically proven. Let us all send prayers to those who have lost a person or were injured in any way from these tragic events or any personal tragedy. Focus on what you feel grateful for at this time. It adds to the prayers and blessings.

laughterIt’s even more imperative that we focus on creating the love and peace we desire from the deepest place in our own hearts.

I know it’s easy to go to hating those who created this tragedy, but I want to remind you.

“VIOLENCE BEGETS VIOLENCE.
HATE BEGETS HATE.
LOVE BEGETS LOVE.
YOU CAN COMBAT HATE ONLY WITH LOVE.”

Helaine Harris

So if you truly want to make a difference, then focus on sending love, peace, harmony and blessings to everyone, everywhere. Reach out wherever you are to bring harmony, peace and a smile.

May you have a delightful and enriching Thanksgiving experience.

Love, Peace, Harmony and JOY!

My Journey to Hell and Back – From a Recovering Perfectionist

Oh, No!!! The techy thing got me, Again!

I signed up for a great new writing class and I was so excited to meet for the first writing session so I can work on my About Me Page for my website revision.

I’ve been on many webinars, so this one is no problem – I thought. I even got on it 15 minutes before the start of the class. Plenty of time, right? It should be a breeze.

Wrong!!! This one was on zoom.us. It asked for an application and GoToMeeting came up so I clicked on it. Oh no, I couldn’t get into the group room. The dang computer rejected the code I had for the class. I tried a few more times to no avail. This sucks!

I even emailed the class assistant, but she didn’t get back to me. Well, she did a bit later, but not immediately. She kindly wrote back she’d help me on the Facebook page.

aargh

But I couldn’t find the FB page on the materials we received. Now I know it’s there. There it goes, BRAIN FREEZE because I’m upset and stressed. I’m sure the Facebook link will be staring me in the face later, but not now when I need it.

“If only I were 30 years younger, I’d get all this stuff easily, but I’m not. They’re not going to want me in the writing program. I can’t even figure out how to get on the call.

I called in by phone even if that’s not good enough in my mind. After all I like fully taking part of everything when I join something.

There I go down the rabbit hole of ‘I’m just not good enough, or I’d get it, or even find the Facebook link.’” Blah, blah, blah.

There goes the whip, in my own hand. I’m going down the familiar miserable spiral into Inner Hell. How much longer do I need to beat me up before I realize I CAN stop this?

Ok, I CAN SHIFT THIS. After all, that’s what I help people do all the time. I’m not going to waste my time any more. I’m going to make this work, somehow.

All right. Nothing else to do to quiet this feeling except to meditate and connect in with my guides, and Higher Self. That’s better than to keep feeling sh&#ty the rest of the day about this.

I probably should have meditated before the class. There I go again, not good enough because I didn’t meditate prior to the class.

So I meditated and feel a little better. Forget writing the About Me Page. Write about how I feel right now, since nothing else will actually work.

That is exactly what I did. I wrote the above section of this blog. That actually does feel better.

Really now, what else can I expect from a Recovering Perfectionist. At least this time I didn’t beat me up for hours or days, or even months like I used to do whenever I screwed up. This time it was only 12 minutes.

Hip, hip hurray for a Recovering Perfectionist.

And now, of course, I just found the email to the facebook forum. I will get into the group room by next week. I’m taking a big deep breath to let go even more.

flowerI will be ok. I am ok. I am fine. I truly feel wonderful. I’m proud of myself for gently pushing the old perfectionist pattern away by transforming the energy and choosing to take the higher road.

I’m so grateful for my guides, my Higher Self and God.

If this Recovering Perfectionist learned how to transmute that lower level energy, so can you!

The following version of my Healing Visualization is what I did in order to feel better and be able to write this blog.

Brief Version of my Healing Visualization

  • Surround yourself with golden light.
  • Call in God (or your version), your guides, Higher Self, healing angels, Archangels.
  • Bring your energy down your body to your feet.
  • Connect to the core of the earth.
  • Feel Mother Earth.
  • Bring the energy back up your body.
  • Balance and open all your chakras.
  • Go into your Sacred Heart Space and feel love.
  • Get on the Universal Golden Energy Grid.
  • Release any negative feelings any way that works for you.
  • Use the angelic vacuum vortex or counterclockwise spiral and release into the earth.
  • Replace the energy with a few positive feelings like empowerment, focus and love.
  • Connect in again with the Divine and feel love, peace, connection and JOY!

Here’s to the Recovering Perfectionist in all of us!

Let me know how this process works for you.

Sending you all lots of Love, Blessings and JOY!

How to Clear Emotional Debris – Part II

Here is a summary of the first 5 points for clearing emotional debris that appeared in the last newsletter.

1. Center Yourself

2. Notice what emotions and reactions occur.

3. Decide on which emotional baggage issues you want to release or shift first.

4. Select the method or technique you wish to use to release these old reactions.

5. Decide on a time frame for working with each emotional issue.

Click here for the rest of Part I.

How to Clear Emotional Debris – Part II

6. Notice the underlying fears, concerns or issues that arise as you change each behavior. These are sort of like piggy-back issues connected to the main one that is triggering issue or emotion. You may need to address these aspects as they come up. Although it takes time, it is really important to go as deeply as possible in releasing your issues. The rewards are tremendous.

7. Make a list of positive messages, emotions and responses you would rather experience in your life. Include in your list what you could do to
feel more empowered. You might choose affirmations or choice statements. There are a couple of examples at the end of this article.

8. Evaluate your progress. You may choose to evaluate daily or weekly. You decide what works best for you. Changes occur internally first before any visible outward shifts are noticeable. Be aware of any subtle or tangible differences in your behavior.

9. Create a Gratitude List. Every time you do something positive towards a behavior change, write it on your gratitude list. Seeing what you have accomplished gives you a feeling of pride and makes it easier to continue working on these internal changes.

10. Reward yourself by a simple pat on the back. Or, find another way to reward yourself that feels good inside. When I’ve worked on and accomplished something that is personally challenging, I reward myself with a break and enjoy talking to a friend. How can you reward you in a meaningful way?

If you find it too difficult or uncomfortable in releasing these issues on your own, I suggest working with an experienced psychotherapist, healer or coach who has an expertise in this area.

Here are positive choice statements that might work for you. Try it – you might like it.

I choose to totally and fully take charge of my emotional reactions and behavior patterns.

I am enjoying feeling clearer, lighter and freer emotionally, mentally, physically and spiritually!

If you come up with any really good affirmations or choice statements, let me know. I love sharing these with all of you.

Now – Go out and smell the roses!

How to Clear Emotional Debris – Part I

We all know how good it feels when we do a “Spring Cleaning” in our home, making our living space roomy and open. Just like on the outside, once we remove the emotional clutter inside, it is amazing how quickly things change. So let’s stop watering the weeds in our head. Instead, clear them out and make room for spring flowers.

Robert Holden, author of “Happiness Now!” has said, “What you focus on most often becomes familiar, and what is familiar feels real to you.” So now is the time to cast out all your emotional debris and replace it with fresh new “familiar” ideas.

Remember: behavior change happens first by clearing the sabotaging emotions and then the beliefs that hold them in place. Only then do behaviors change outside.

EmotionalSpringCleaning6Let’s clean your Inner Temple, your inner body. Here are some tools to help with cleaning your Being.

1. Center Yourself: First quiet yourself and take a few moments to meditate. Allow the silence to be your teacher. Have your journal by your side to record your thoughts and progress. Then ask your inner self – or better yet, your Higher Self – “Which behavior patterns, beliefs and emotional reactions are not serving me now?” Listen inside. Some of you receive images, words, physical sensations, a sound, or a moving picture to represent your answers. Write and write, without editing or questioning. Bear witness to what comes through, without judgment.

2. Notice what emotions and reactions occur. Separate your list into sections, if you desire. For example, some categories might be: Negative Self-Talk, Excuses I Make, Procrastination Areas, Excessive Emotions like Anger, Resentments or create your own categories.

3. Decide on which emotional baggage issues you want to release or shift first. Number the rest of the negative beliefs or reactions that emerged so you have the order of what you want to deal with when ready.

4. Select the method or technique you wish to use to release these old reactions. Some of the best methods for releasing negative emotions are EFT, Self-hypnosis, Reichian work, and if it’s one of the biggies connected to the fear and anger of abuse, EMDR may be the method of choice, in which case it’s important to work with a therapist. For some issues, like everyday anger, it might be a cognitive method such as, “Count to 10 when I get angry before speaking or doing something.” Or, “I will write in my journal until the emotion subsides.” Even better, I will take a 15-minute walk or run first to release my feelings.”

5. Decide on a time frame for working with each emotional issue. Remember: your time frame needs to be flexible. Be gentle on yourself.

Part II will be in the next edition.

Tired of Repeating the Same Mistakes in Love?

So many people come to me hungry for love and relationship. Some search endlessly for someone to love them, make them feel good, happy, connected and to fill their emptiness.

Yet they have put up so many barriers and protections concerning love because of previous hurt, rejection, abandonment and betrayal.

It is so sad to me that most people don’t really understand the nature of love.

I, too, have searched for love for many years and did years of therapy, healing work, shamanic work, spiritual work and anything I could to get to love. Much to my amazement, I really did find love.

The truth is that the very core of who we are is LOVE.

The more we search for love from others, the more we are focused on our lack of love, or Love deprivation. Guess what! Then that is what we attract – more love deprivation.

Energy goes where you put your attention. So if you want love, focus on LOVE.

If you don’t have the partner you want to love you in the way you want, practice loving you. Take good care of you. Eat food that nurtures your body and feels good. Do the type of exercise that fills you with good feelings. Okay. Sometimes we may not care to exercise, but you may feel great after. See movies you enjoy that pick you up instead of taking you down or into fear.

Most importantly, love wherever you can. Perhaps you have an animal, like a dog or a cat, whom you truly love. Play with them, laugh with them. They provide lots of nurturing and they don’t judge you.

Go out in nature. Enjoy it. What brings you comfort, peace or pleasure? Is it the mountains in spring, the beach at sunset or sunrise or perhaps the desert when flowers are in bloom. Nature often brings you closer to Spirit and that connection brings you closer to love.

So what can you do now if you are really tired of repeating the same mistakes you experienced in past relationships?

Here are just a few tips for your Journey to Love:

  1. Find something you enjoy now and allow yourself to feel love – a place in nature, a walk in the park, being with your favorite pet.
  2. Focus on what you enjoy and love in the morning and in the evening. Perhaps it is music, watching something funny or reading a touching story, whatever it is for you.
  3. Begin a Gratitude Journal and write down 3 to 5 items that bring this feeling of gratefulness. Being grateful is a step towards love.
  4. Have compassion for yourself, for what you have come through, for those difficult times. Yes, you survived them. You’re here now. Compassion and Gratitude bring in more of the feeling of love.
  5. Create a daily practice of loving what you are doing, loving who you are with and even loving and enjoying any task you are doing, or as many as possible. This is a practice that you can get better and better at. Alright, you don’t have to love preparing taxes, but you can enjoy and love calling a friend when you’re done. Create a positive reward for yourself.
  6. Make a list of your wonderful qualities or ask your friends to help you make a list. Post the list on your bathroom mirror or fridge.
  7. When some of your old negative feelings about love arise, do some tapping such as EFT or self-hypnosis on them. There are many ways to release these old feelings that create barriers to love. Find out about them and use them.
  8. If you can’t release negative feelings on your own successfully, get some help.

I know love is meant for everyone. Love is actually a choice. The first choice is to love yourself more.

The tips above are ones I actually practice myself. That doesn’t mean I feel love in every moment. But that is my desire and I do focus on getting to that feeling of love, compassion and Joy as much as possible.

Easy Stress Relieving Techniques

Having a multitude of techniques to cope with surviving stress is essential for daily life. Stress can become a bigger problem if you don’t have the tools to deal with it. It can contribute to high blood pressure, digestion problems, sleep issues and may even add to belly fat for some people.

Here are a few more techniques that are simple for you to use.

1. Soothing Scents
flowersMany of you may already know lavender is wonderful for calming the nerves. Some of the other scents that are also soothing are ylang, ylang, sweet orange and lemongrass. These can actually calm your nerves instantly by inhaling the aromas from these oils. Put a drop of lavender on your fingertips and massage your temples for a tension headache. It feels very soothing. Try adding a few drops of one of these essential oils to an unscented candle and light it. They smell heavenly and will calm your spirit in a short time.

2. Surrender in a Bath
Many years ago I was doing psychotherapy in a warm water pool. The effects were amazing. Hydrotherapy has been used for many years as a healing tool, as well as having restorative abilities. To add to your bath time and for surrendering stress, I suggest using bath salts, low lights or candle light, with special relaxing music and even light a healing or aromatherapy candle for added effect.

3. Visualize an Inner Vacation
Use any slow, deep breathing techniques and imagine the most calming peaceful place for you. It might be lying on a beach during a warm afternoon, listening to the seagulls and the gentle waves, and picturing on each outbreath as the waves moving out, the tension leaving your body. Or you might prefer imagining the mountains, and listening to the birds and a nearby river, as you smell pine trees with a gentle wind. Use any peaceful inner vacation area that works for you and brings you peace, relaxation and perhaps, even joy!

4. Use Acupressure
Stress can create serious aches and pains in the body. Sometimes it helps to apply pressure to certain meridian points on the body. I learned these from a reflexologist and from energy Medicine. The energy channels may get blocked from stress or anxiety and this can cause pain or even illness. There are several points I especially like using to alleviate stress. Hold each of the points with the index and middle finger for 30 seconds. The first point is on the little finger side of the forearm at the wrist. Do it on both wrists. It releases headaches, stress and anxiety. The second one is the third eye point between the eyebrows, where the bridge of the nose is indented. It actually calms the body and relieves that anxious feeling. The third point I like to use is in the center of the breastbone. It also calms tension and other emotional imbalances. I find the 3 points work well together when you take the time.

15 Tips to Reduce Stress

The goal in these stress tips is to learn how to manage the stress in your life. Use the tips that you resonate with the most.

1. Deep Breathing

This is a simple yet very effective relaxation method. Regularly take deep breaths, breathing out tension and breathing in relaxation. It is a core component of all yoga, Zen meditation and spiritual practices. There are a number of very useful specific breathing techniques just to release stress from the body. Here are more breathing techniques. https://hzharris.com/all-resources/

2. Sleep

According to a National Consumers League survey, about 60 percent of people who are stressed say they don’t get enough sleep. For those of you who have difficulty falling asleep, it is very important to begin a soothing and calming bedtime routine. Take a nice, warm bath and find a light enjoyable novel to read prior to bedtime. Avoid watching action movies or the news before bedtime. Also avoid any stressful conversations prior to bedtime.

3. Warm Soothing Bath or Shower.

Use sandalwood incense and lavender oil in the bath or on your skin. Add a few candles and perhaps a good book or some classical music, and you’ll be well on your way to relaxation.

4. Reconnect with Your Spiritual Selflover holding hand walking on the beach

Reconnect with your Inner Guides, Higher Self or Inner Wisdom can help lower blood pressure. The very simple act of meditating or praying has helped many reduce stress. This may take practice to do regularly, but research has shown the benefits are tremendous.

5. Regular Exercise, Especially Walking

Exercise clears your mind and returns the body to a more healthy state. Even a 10-minute walk can decrease stress and anxiety. When you exercise, beta-endorphins (the body’s natural relaxants) are released. Endorphins counteract the stress hormones that are often raging through your body. Exercise gets your blood circulating, boosts your mood, and eases tension.

Exercise rids the body of excess energy it really can’t do anything about,” says Dr. Tara Cortes, clinical director of  primary care at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York.

Studies also show that active people have a decreased risk of coronary heart disease, the number- one cause of death in the United States.

6. Yoga

Even one yoga class a week can cut levels of the stress hormone cortisol. This is reason enough to get you to a yoga class for your refreshing and rejuvenating workout. If all you need is simple relaxation, then find a yoga class to your liking that specializes in low-key hatha yoga or one of the restorative yoga classes. There are many types of yoga from which to choose.

7. Take a Vacation

If you don’t have the time or money to plan a fabulous excursion for a week, then a quick weekend getaway might suffice. Or plan a special event near your home, perhaps a stay vacation. All that’s necessary is that you spend an extended  period of time not thinking about those stressful things, such as work, money, relationships—anything that makes you feel crazy, overwhelmed and stressed.

8. Call a Friend

Often things seem better after you talk to a really good friend. Friendship is as beneficial for your health as it is for your spirit. Researchers have found that having good friends helps lower blood pressure, relieves anxiety, and may even help you live longer. Many experts list friendship as the key factor in getting through stressful times.

9. Share Household Chores

Because you may not always get that needed acknowledgement, or pat on the back, other tactics can help. One way to get more help is to divvy up the chores. Dividing chores gets the whole family involved in running the household, says Craft-Rosenberg, the family studies professor from Iowa.

The resilience of a family is related to how well they can work together,”

she says. Even small children benefit because contributing makes them feel needed. Additionally, when others share the workload, there’s less pressure to get everything done at once.

10. Lighten or Change Your Workload

If work is creating a great deal of your stress, it might be time to talk to your boss, delegate tasks, or start looking for a new job. Keep in mind If work is making you crazy, you’re not alone. Work is the top source of stress in adults aged 18-54,  according to the National Consumers League survey. Forty-six percent say it’s a problem. In the meantime find some ways to unwind after work. Sit quietly for 10 minutes before you start your evening. Play a favorite CD while fixing dinner. Or delegate your home chores so you can relax on weeknights instead of slaving over dinner. Or you can choose to occasionally pick up something special for dinner instead.

11. Forgive Someone

Studies found that those people who forgive others tended to have lower blood pressure than their less-forgiving peers. Perhaps it’s time to give up that grudge, if only to gain health benefits. It doesn’t mean you condone what others have done. Forgiveness is about releasing the negative and toxic energy built up in your by anger and resentment that is held inside of you.

12. Reduce Caffeine Intake

Drinking three or four cups of coffee every morning does more than wake you up. The caffeine raises your blood pressure and increases secretion of adrenaline, a stress hormone. In fact, the caffeine in your coffee cup imitates and even exaggerates the body’s response to stress. The effects of caffeine last for hours after drinking it.

taking time for yourself13. Take Twenty Minutes

Whether you’re a doctor, lawyer or an at-home mom, giving yourself time to unwind is vital for de-stressing your life. Taking 20 minutes for yourself won’t solve all of life’s problems, but it gives you a chance to feel calmer and find clarity.  Whether you need a nap, a bath, or a quiet place to look at the trees or to read a book, make sure the time is spent doing exactly what you want to do.

14. Make Love

Whether you prefer cuddling with your honey or the act itself, sex is a wonderful time-tested  stress reliever, and it’s well worth taking the time to do it. It also brings you a deeper connection and comfort with someone that really can shift your energy.

5 Mistakes You Don’t Want To Make In Your Holistic Business

Holistic businesses are becoming increasing popular because people want to work in a business they feel completely passionate about. Being holistic is more than just a business practice; it is a philosophy, a way of life. It is important to keep focus on the principles behind your holistic practice; otherwise, it can hurt the very business you established to help others.
These mistakes are avoidable and that’s exactly why we encourage each of you to join us on this journey of exploring two of the five biggest mistakes a holistic business can make, while giving you more perspective and tips for making your business a success.

5 biggest mistakes healers, therapists and spiritual practitioners make that actually repel your vibrationally matched clients

Shiny Business

Shiny Business

The 1st big mistake spiritual practitioners make is the lack of a system for their products, services or programs. Without a clear system of how your business works, clients often are left feeling confused and repelled about what your business can provide as a value to them. A clearly established system speaks to their rational mind. After your client feels at ease with you, what you offer and your fees, they feel safe to vibrationally connect with you as their trusted provider. You’ve engaged them mentally and emotionally.

  • Dara came to me a while ago really concerned because she did not have enough clients coming to her. She was frustrated because she tried so many things like workshops where she’d have no one sign up or only have 2 or 3 people! This seems to be frequent with many of my new clients. We went over her marketing materials such as flyers and emails. I pointed out to her one huge factor. She was writing only about her methods (like I used to do) and very little about what they will gain from working with her. Clients want to know one primary thing: “What will I gain from working with you or using your products?”

social-networking_1100030722-012814-intHere is the 2nd big mistake I find happens when clients first come to us. It is easy to dive in to assisting them in what ails them, their problems and issues for example, before you have taken the time to really sit down and get to know who they are. If you don’t take time to develop rapport and find out about them, then you lack the personal connection that is needed for someone to work with you or buy your products. It is important to be your authentic-self and share the knowledge that you have established through your life journey in a calm, understanding, and guiding way. They can connect with you emotionally by you sharing your journey with them.
We want to invite YOU to sign up with US for our special presentation Training Call. This event will include the last 3 mistakes that healers, therapists and spiritual practitioners make and teach you tips on how to successfully avoid making these mistakes, too. We look forward to having you there.
